Ahmad Rasouli (O.F.S.D.)

Ahmad has had over twenty years of experience in the design and manufacture of orthopedic footwear, including working with prosthetic and orthotics at the Red Deer Regional Hospital in Alberta and at Sunny Brook Hospital in Toronto. Additionally Ahmad has had many years of expertise as a shop supervisor with a busy orthopedic footwear manufacturer

Ali Sasan Bassir (B.Sc. Eng.)

Ali has had spent the last ten years in the management of manufacturing plants. He has years of experience in the manufacture of orthotics in the greater Toronto area. Ali works closely with Podiatrists, Chiropodists, Chiropractors and Pedorthists to make sure their prescriptions are manufactured to exacting standards and co-operates closely with them to ensure therapeutic success

Simin M Bassir (B.Sc. Biology)

Simin is a Certified Laboratory Technician and a competent Certified Aqua Fitness instructor with several years of experience working with seniors as well as younger people to reach their best health condition. Simin oversees scheduling issues at our lab

Our Associates and Consultants

Charles MacMull (B.Sc. Eng., A.C.G.I., D.Ch.)

Charles is our pro bono lab consultant. He is an icon in the field of foot biomechanics and has achieved numerous honors in this field. We are honored to have him as part of our team and benefit greatly from his advice. His advice is freely available to all our clients should they face any difficulties achieving their therapeutic objective with a particular patient.

Charles has an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering and was the only honors graduate in Chiropody from the Ontario Chiropody Program for his graduating year. He is the winner of the Board of Governor’s Gold Medal for the highest academic standing from the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto

Charles is a past faculty member of the Chiropody Program at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences and a Past Clinical Educator in Biomechanics with the Ontario Chiropody program at the Toronto General Hospital.

He is the author several papers of original research in the field of biomechanics dealing with the shock absorption characteristics of orthotic materials and running shoes, the effects of foot pressure and the role of orthotics in the prevention and management of tissue breakdown in diabetics and is the co-inventor with Dr. Daryl Phillips D.P.M., of CoM’nalysis®, a unique gait analysis software marketed by Tekscan® Inc. in the U.S.A.

He is currently in private practice in Toronto and is involved in research using accelerometers for gait analysis.

Sammie Bassir (B.A. Econ, A.D. Acct., C.G.A.)

Sammie is our financial advisor and oversees our accounting and record keeping systems. Sammie is a professional Certified General Accountant and brings to our organization her years of expertise and experience in this field

Hassan Shekarabi (B.Sc. Biomedical Engineering)

Hassan has many years of experience in the design and manufacture of prosthetics and orthotics. Hassan is also a specialist in the manufacture of artificial limbs. He is in charge of our shop floor and responsible for the modification and preparation of casts to our client’s exact specifications. Hassan oversees the vacuum-forming process. Orthotic modifications are also done under his direct supervision

Yevgeniy Konyavsky (B.Sc. Phys-Ed/Kinesiology)

Yevgeniy brings to our team his experience, from the Eyal Orthopedic Institute, where he has assembled and built orthotic appliances and orthopedic footwear. He specializes in the production of orthotics for athletic use. He is involved on the shop floor in transforming the vacuum-formed shells into a finished orthotic

Chris Horobin (Quality Assurance Specialist)

Chris comes to us with many years of experience in orthotic manufacture. He has worked with several reputable orthotic manufacturers in Ontario, and is familiar with different production techniques. Chris oversees our Quality Assurance program to ensure consistency in each stage of the manufacturing procedure
